PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer, a print instructing device, a printing system, a printing method, and a print instruction method for reducing density unevenness by a time difference happening at boundaries before and after print operation interruption even if print operation is interrupted during one scan for preventing a decrease in the quality of an image printed on a record medium.;SOLUTION: Print data divided into a plurality of frames are received from a host computer in frame units and are stored in reception buffers in a RAM 103. Image data are generated in frame units from the print data by a print data generation circuit 108, and generated image data are stored in a print buffer and are printed by using a record head 111. In this case, when the reception of the print data is interrupted, the printer notifies status information to the host computer, finally receives new print data generated by the printed image data and the interrupted print data to resume the printing.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
