PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio visual editing system to make it easy to edit an audio visual story.;SOLUTION: The audio visual editing system 112 connects a segment of the audiovisual material with a related text. With this editing system, an editor can edit a reference to the audiovisual material in the segment (114) and the related text (116) as well. Estimated time of newscaster to read the related text aloud is determined. The estimated time for reading the related text in this segment can be compared to the actual period of audio visual material in the segment.
