PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inclusion detecting device of an L-shaped seal fitting type automatic packaging machine capable of correctly detecting an inclusion by eliminating a detection-disabling factor and a detection varying factor in inclusion detecting operation.;SOLUTION: This inclusion detecting device of an automatic packaging machine is constructed such that an eddy current shift sensor 40 is arranged at the end portion of a bracket 35a fixed to a right side seal fitting press arm 30, a metallic member 41 is arranged at the end portion of a bracket 36a fixed to a left side seal fitting press arm 31, the eddy current shift sensor 40 and the metallic member 41 are arranged at the near opposing states to each other and at the same time they are positioned at positions where they are extended in such a direction as one in which they are opened in a fan-like shape of the press arms. With such an arrangement as above, it is possible to expand a measured value of a clearance distance got by the eddy current shift sensor 40 and the metallic member 41 at the time of occurrence of an inclusion.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
