PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sludge treatment method and equipment for sludge treatment which do not require a process( means ) for heating and incinerating soil components and a process ( means ) for drying them by using a dryer and the like, lighten the burden for moisture control accompanying these processes, thereby can reduce the treatment cost, and to provide a soil amendment at a low cost by using the sludge treatment method and the equipment for sludge treatment like these. PSOLUTION: A sludge M and a sawdust W dropped and supplied to mixing equipment 4 are strred and mixed in the mixing equipment 4, the kneaded matter P is loaded onto a carrier wagon 8 to be transported to a dehydrator tank 20. A slamp test is carried out to confirm whether or not the kneaded matter P of the sludge M and the sawdust W is in the state that it is not fluidized and can keep its solid form. Then, the kneaded matter P of the sludge M and the sawdust W is carried into the dehydrator tank 20 and the moisture contained in the kneaded matter P is made to permeate and removed through brick blocks 22 constituting the bottom surface part of the dehydrator tank 20.
