PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a driver to reach a destination by quickly referring to route information, which is registered efficiently in association with the utility pole numbers.;SOLUTION: The geographic information system 1 which stores positional information of utility poles, comprises a facility information registering means 123 which registers attribute information of utility poles for each information identifying utility pole; a facility information transmitting means 124 which transmits utility pole information as the acquiring object of positional information; a positional information registering means 125 which registers each point information for the utility poles concerned, creates route information by holding the points concerned in mutual association, and registers received positional information of utility poles and aforementioned route information in association with aforementioned information identifying utility pole; and a route retrieving means 126 which acquires utility pole information as the retrieving object the route, extracts the position of utility poles and point information associated with the utility poles on the basis of aforementioned route information and then outputs the map each positional information is arranged on.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
