METHOD FOR DETECTING RELAPSE OF URINARY BLADDER CANCER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting whether urinary bladder cancer became a high stage state by relapse having high probability or malignant change or not.;SOLUTION: Whether urinary bladder cancer became a high stage state by relapse or malignant change or not is detected by using expression state of ribonucleic acid (mRNA) which is nuclleophosmin/B23 protein information as prognostic index. Namely, reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) to tumor is practiced and a ribonucleic acid which is the nucleophosmin/B23 protein information is measured to obtain Ct value and the Ct value and a control value are measured to obtain the difference value (ΔCt). The control value is derived from an 18S inner control sample and ΔCt which is a difference value between the Ct value and the control value is compared with a prescribed value. Whether the tumor is made to relapse or converted to high stage state is determined by the comparison.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
