PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a convenient and accurate method for manufacturing a substrate on which a chain molecule is linearly stretched and fixed at a single molecular level, and a method for conveniently screening a molecule for interacting with the chain molecule.;SOLUTION: After a chain molecular liquid is dropped on the substrate or the substrate is immersed into the chain molecular liquid by utilizing the interaction between the molecule and the substrate, the liquid is removed from the substrate by an air blowing method, a chain molecule stretching and fixing substrate can be conveniently and accurately manufactured, and the molecule for interacting with the chain molecule can be conveniently screened by observing a bend of the chain molecule on the substrate.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
