PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hearth roll arranged at the inside of a continuous heat treatment furnace which elongates the movable period of the apparatus and can improve productivity because of its excellent build-up resistance, thermal impact resistance and wear resistance and its long service life as well.;SOLUTION: The hearth roll is arranged at the inside of a continuous heat treatment furnace, and, a steel sheet is carried through its surface carried. The heath roll is obtained by thermally spraying a material comprising nitride, boride, oxide and matrix metal on the surface of a roll substrate so as to form a sprayed coating in which nitride, boride and oxide are dispersed into the matrix.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
