CAMERA CALIBRATION METHOD FOR PHOTOGRAMMETRY

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calibration method for dispensing with accurate information concerning the measuring point and the photographing position of an object. PSOLUTION: The method for calibrating a camera in an image measuring device comprises the camera for acquiring image data by photographing the object, an image memory for storing the image data, and an analysis processing means for measuring the object by analyzing the image data. The method has a data acquiring process for acquiring at least the four image data by photographing the object providing a plurality of reference points, a storing process for quantizing the image data to be stored to the image memory, a coordinate calculation process for reading quantization data from the image memory and calculating a coordinate value of the reference point from the quantization data, and a correction value calculation process for calculating a correction value of the camera from the coordinate value of the reference point and a prescribed calculation equation.
