PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a device for indicating a position of a sample holder capable of orienting a microtome freely to be provided with a display for indicating a position of a sample head.;SOLUTION: This device for indicating the position of the sample holder capable of orienting and aligning the microtome is arranged with a driving unit for moving the sample holder in a housing, and has at least one spindle supported turnably and at least one nut-like female member in one spatial direction.
