PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile on-water wind observation system which corrects measurement errors caused by changes and fluctuations in position and velocity and performs high-precision measurement of wind velocity and wind direction.;SOLUTION: The system comprises a wind measurement device (an ultrasonic anemometer 2 or a Doppler sodar 3) which is placed on a mobile unit (a ship 1) movable on the water (on the ocean, for example) and measures wind velocity and wind direction in a desired spatial area, a position/fluctuations amount measurement device (such as an inertial measurement device 10, a GPS 20, a clinometer 30, and a compass 40) which is mounted on the wind measurement device and measures the position and fluctuations amount of the wind measurement device, and a correction device which corrects the data on wind velocity and wind direction measured by the wind measurement device on the basis of the measurement results of the position/fluctuations amount measurement device.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
