PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate a precise transfer function directly from an input signal and a transition response signal in a system, in transfer function estimation for a characteristic-unknown system.;SOLUTION: A multiple sine wave signal associated with a plurality of sine waves different in frequencies is input, a matrix using an unknown coefficient of the transfer function as a variable is prepared on the basis of a frequency response data of a rational function expressing a relation between the input signal and a response signal corresponding thereto, a degree of the transfer function is determined to make a linearly independent column number of the data matrix equal to the column number of the data matrix, and the transfer function for the characteristic-unknown system is estimated by determining the coefficient of the transfer function in response to the determined degree.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
