PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically precisely measure a relative displacement of an inner tank sideboard with respect to an outside tank sideboard made to be a reference, and compute and display the deformation behavior of the inner tank in real time.;SOLUTION: This double shell low-temperature storage tank is composed by providing an inner tank 3 inside an outside tank 1 with a cold insulation space 2 between, and filling up the insulation space 2 with a cold insulation member 4. Ultrasonic measuring devices 5 which automatically measure relative displacements of the inner tank sideboard 3a using the outside tank sideboard 1a as a reference, are installed at a plurality of circumferential spots of the sideboard 1a. Moreover, a processing unit 7 to which a measurement signal from each measuring device 5 is input, and which computes and displays the deformation behavior of the inner tank 3 is provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
