PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable drastic downsizing of an accelerator as a whole by enabling to design an FFAG accelerator with a high k value without increasing the number of cells.;SOLUTION: In the FFAG accelerator using an electromagnet with the cell number of N having a magnetic field distribution expressed in B=B0(r/r0)k, a second stable region of betatron vibration or after that with the k value higher than a first stable region (A) where the k-value is close to an original point (k=0) is to be an operating point. The second or succeeding stable region of betatron vibration is searched by calculating in linear optical approximation on various combinations of the number of the cells and the k values and finding the number of beam optical stable solutions.
