PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for calculating display characteristics correction data for an image display apparatus, capable of calculating correct correction data at all times, even when abnormality data are captured as photographing data due to changes in the external light or blocking-off of photographing by an obstacle in the case of photographing a test pattern.;SOLUTION: In the case that the image display apparatus sequentially displays a test pattern, on the basis of test pattern data, a plurality of photographing data are acquired by photographing the sequential test patterns and correction data to correct the display characteristic of the image display apparatus are calculated on the basis of a plurality of the acquired photographing data; analyzing a plurality of the acquired photographing data detects the presence / absence of abnormality photographing data, if the abnormality photographing data are detected, the photographing data corresponding to the test pattern data, when the abnormality photographing data are acquired again; and correction data to correct the display characteristic of the image display apparatus are calculated, on the basis of a plurality of the photographing data including the photographing data acquired again.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
