PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exactly discriminate the truth or false of a certificate by discriminating the addition or deletion of characters based on the position relation of the characters described on the certificate for identification; to enhance discrimination security for the forged certificate; and to positively exclude the use of the forged certificate by discriminating with high accuracy the valid certificate from the invalid certificate.;SOLUTION: An automatic contract system 10 has an automatic contract terminal operated by a customer and a center terminal operated by an operator and involves: transmitting the picture of the certificate read by the automatic contract terminal to the center terminal in a contract procedure before examining credit information on the customer.
