PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for storing information configured so as to be used for a plurality of communication protocols to access a monitored device among distinct devices communicatively coupled to a network, and to provide a computer program.;SOLUTION: The method includes accessing an external information storage unit to obtain information for accessing the device using at least one communication protocol supported by the device; storing, in an internal storage table, the information for accessing the device obtained from the external information storage unit; selecting a communication protocol among the plurality of communication protocols; and accessing the device using the selected communication protocol and the information stored in the internal storage table.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
