PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ringtone providing system for transmitting a ringtone in response to the presence of a phone called party to a caller side telephone terminal.;SOLUTION: The called party side terminal 1 includes a means for transmitting a presence set from a user and a presence corresponding ringtone by each presence to a call tone management apparatus 3 to make a registration request, a telephone exchange 4 includes a means for requesting the ringtone management apparatus 3 to transmit ringtone data corresponding to the presence of a called party side user and receiving the data, and a means for transmitting the received ringtone data to a caller side terminal 2, and the ringtone management apparatus 3 includes: a ringtone database 323 to which the ringtone data are registered in advance; a means for registering the presence and the presence corresponding ringtone received from the caller side terminal 1; a means for receiving a request from the telephone exchange 4 to search and acquire a ringtone corresponding to the presence of the called party side user; and a means for acquiring the ringtone data of the acquired ringtone from the ringtone database 323 and transmitting the data to the telephone exchange 4.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
