PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless IP communication terminal and an IP communication control method capable of suppressing interruption of transmission/reception of packet data incident to movement between hot spots without increasing the facility cost.;SOLUTION: The wireless IP communication terminal comprises a means capable of performing wireless communication simultaneously with two or more base stations 5 and 8 having different communication areas A1 and A2, a means for acquiring IP addresses from the base stations 5 and 8 capable of performing wireless communication, a means for detecting the receiving sensitivity of the received signal for each base station, and a session control means for establishing session with the partner IP terminal 2 on the IP network 3 through any one of base stations capable of performing wireless communication and making a switch from the session through the relevant base station to session through other base station based on the receiving sensitivity with regard to the session established with the partner IP terminal 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
