PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform speech or viewing and listening of images, etc. in an appropriate volume/tone quality even if use conditions of the personal digital assistant change.;SOLUTION: An earphone microphone 1 and a terminal body 10 are connected by radio. A user can set volume and tone quality determined to be appropriate for respective predetermined use conditions controlled in the terminal through a volume setting part 15 and a tone control setting part 16. If an internal use state changes, and use state after transition is obtained, volume setting information 32 and tone quality setting information 33 relating to the use state are read out from a memory. A main body microphone 11, a main body speaker 12, an external microphone 2, and an ear phone 3 are respectively and individually adjusted. By this means, even if an internal use state of the personal digital assistant changes during the user uses it, it is possible to automatically and appropriately adjust volume and tone quality.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
