PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system capable of preventing unnecessary electric power from being consumed, by interrupting communication with an on-vehicle device when a mobile terminal is separated from a vehicle by a prescribed distance, and by interrupting screen display when separated further by a prescribed distance. PSOLUTION: In this navigation system, the on-vehicle device transmits positional information of the vehicle and map information in a periphery of the vehicle to the mobile terminal when the vehicle is brought into a parking condition, the receiving mobile terminal displays on a screen a vehicle position on the basis of the positional information and the map information, and positions a position of the terminal itself to be displayed on the screen, the mobile terminal interrupts the communication with the on-vehicle device when the terminal is judged to go out of the first communication area of the on-vehicle device, and the screen display is stopped when judged to go out of the second communication area of the on-vehicle device.
