PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a deterioration in the quality of treated water in sewage treatment while facilitating the keeping of a quality of treated water. PSOLUTION: Sewage is treated by setting the amount of initially sedimented sludge used in a treatment process for performing biological treatment on the basis of the amount of a floating substance suspended in the initially sedimented sludge.
