PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program receiving apparatus, a program distributing system, a program receiving method, a program distributing method and a program receiving program which can positively prevent the wrong selection of a program viewed in the past.;SOLUTION: A viewing history storing section 49 stores identifiers of viewed programs. A program guide display unit 47 displays titles of programs. An input device 42 accepts the selection of a program for which a viewing request is issued. A viewing program specifying section 48 generates distribution request data including the identifier of the viewed program. A program management information/program data communication section 61 transmits distribution request data to a program distributing apparatus, and receives program data from the program distributing apparatus. A reproducing section 46 reproduces the received program data. A viewing history updating section 62 additionally stores the identifier of the program for which the viewing request is issued in the section 49.
