PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a space-time region information processing method for efficiently inputting and editing space-time region information.;SOLUTION: A video information storing part 101 stores video data. A space-time region information storing part 102 stores space-time region information describing information which can be specified as to the locus of each of representative points in a time base direction for each of the representative points of a predetermined approximated figure showing an arbitrary area as expression of the transition of the area in a video over a plurality of arbitrary frames. A space-time region information edition processing part 105 calculates the position shape of the approximated figure in each frame based on the space-time region information being the target of edition, and a display part 103 displays the frame images of the plurality of frames and the approximated figure, and an input part 104 inputs a predetermined editing operation to the position shape of the displayed approximated figure, and corrects the target space-time region information based on the inputted editing operation.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
