ERROR CORRECTION METHOD USED TO WAVELENGTH MULTIPLEX TRANSMISSION SYSTEM, ERROR CORRECTION TRANSMITTER, AND ERROR CORRECTION RECEIVER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve error resistance of a main signal by improving error resistance of data themselves when simultaneously transmitting error correction data using a wavelength which is different from a wavelength of the main signal.;SOLUTION: When simultaneously transmitting error correction data for a plurality of main signals of wavelengths λ1-λ4 using a wavelength λ5 which is different from the wavelengths of the main signals, the error correction data are transmitted from a transmitting side 9A using the other wavelength λ5 at a data rate lower than original one, and at a receiving side 9B, error correction is performed upon the main signals after returning the data rate of the error correction data transmitted by the other wavelength λ5, to the original data rate and matching an error correction timing with the main signals.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
