PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rationalize safety design and to improve the efficiency of design by performing quantitative safety design by using an SIL model.;SOLUTION: The design supporting device 10 is provided with a design parameter input part 12 for receiving the input of design parameter values of a safety-related apparatus which are necessary for the purpose of evaluating the SIL of the safety-related apparatus by using the SIL model, an SIL target value input part 14 for receiving the input of target values for the SIL of the safety-related apparatus and a display part 30 for calculating the SIL of the safety-related apparatus on the basis of the SIL model by using the values of respective design parameters inputted to the design parameter input part 12 and displaying the calculated result and the target values inputted to the SIL target value input part 14.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
