PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an onboard apparatus to be used for a vehicle travel management system mounted on the vehicle side, which prevents erroneous communication whichever lane of a plurality of lanes a specific vehicle enters or when a plurality of vehicles enter one lane, and allows passage on the lane to be confirmed by both the road side and the vehicle side in advance and administers road-vehicle communication to accurately and surely manage vehicles running on a specific lane by the road side. PSOLUTION: The vehicle travel management system 10 recognizes a vehicle 11 which has entered one of a plurality of lanes 16 to 18, by road-vehicle communication. The vehicle running management system 10 is provided with; a lane information write means 20 which is provided so that a lane information data signal a including lane information of the lane which the vehicle has entered 11 is generated on the vehicle 11 side when the vehicle 11 arrives at a prescribed position of the lane; and a road-side communication machine 30 which receives the lane information data signal generated by the lane information writing means 20 from the vehicle 11 side.
