PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a static magnetic refrigeration method, and a magnetic refrigerator using it using a member carrying out magnetic transfer in an ordinary temperature vicinity in a magnetic work body, and using a composite magnetic field formed by superimposing a fixed magnetic field on an AC rotating magnetic field formed by an electromagnetic automatic means carried out in a static state without using a mechanical means for increasing and decreasing a magnetic field magnetizing and demagnetizing the magnetic work body. PSOLUTION: The magnetic refrigerator comprises a static composition, and it is composed of the magnetic work body 10, a static heat insulating housing body 11 housing the magnetic work body in a magnetic field in a heat insulating state, a magnetic field generating part 12 for forming the magnetic field magnetizing and demagnetizing the magnetic work body, a heat dissipation take out part 14 taking out magnetic entropy heat generated in the magnetic work body 10, and a cold take out part 20 taking out cold generated by the magnetic work body demagnetized in an isothermal demagnetization process.
