VEHICLE SEAT HAVING BLOCKING MEANS FOR BLOCKING SEAT BACK IN CASE OF FRONTAL CRASH AND HINGED BACK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle seat having a blocking means for blocking a seat back in case of a frontal crash.;SOLUTION: This vehicle seat is arranged movable with respect to a floor 2 by a back connection bar 24 connected a height adjusting shaft 25 in case of a frontal crash. The seat back blocking means comprises a cam 41 turnably installed to the shaft 25, and a weight 43 connected to the cam 41. The cam 41 is configured to mesh with a lower end 32 of a seat back frame 12 when turned by an inertia force of the weight 43 in the case of the crash. That is, in this seat, the cam 41 fixes the lower end 32 of the seat back frame to prevent a turning motion of the seat back, and is arranged to mesh to generate a force F of high radiation form by the height adjusting shaft 25, thereby restricting the rotation of the height adjusting shaft 25.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
