SOLUTION: A map information storage part 10 stores map information including information concerned with the road, the landmark and the area. An overlap decision part 11a judges whether the landmark and the area are overlapped when the road and the road width are considered or not. When the overlap of the landmark and the area are decided, a positional information correction part 12a corrects the positional information of the landmark and the area to positions not overlapped to the road with the road width. A corrected map information storage part 13 stores map information including the corrected positional information of the landmark and the area. When the found map information is displayed on a screen, the landmark and the area are displayed on positions not overlapped to the road with the road width.
