PSOLUTION: This risk potential calculation device for a vehicle is provided with condition recognition means 10 and 20 for detecting the vehicle condition of its own vehicle and the peripheral traveling environment of its own vehicle, a risk potential calculation means 50 for calculating the peripheral risk potential of its own vehicle based on the detection results of the condition recognition means 10 and 20 and an adaptation correction means 50 for correcting a risk potential calculated by the risk potential calculation means 50 corresponding to the adaptation characteristics of a driver to the vehicle condition and the traveling environment.
