PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal device whereby a user can easily grasp an operating state of the equipment and easily grasp a proper operation for the operating state.;SOLUTION: The mobile terminal device incorporates display apparatuses 13 to 18 such as LEDs to operation keys 3, 6, 7, and stores an operating state, a state display pattern denoting the operating state on the display apparatuses, and a guide display pattern indicating the operation key used for operation for the operating state on the display apparatuses to a storage section in cross-reference with each other. When the terminal device detects the occurrence of a prescribed operating state, displays the state display pattern in response to the operating state on the display apparatus so as to inform the user about the occurrence of the operating state.
