PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the change of a division position in a short time by providing a current position detection means which detects a current position of each cutter, a objective position setting means which sets the objective position of each cutter based on an input signal from an input device, and a control means of a travel drive mechanism and an engaging drive mechanism based on travel procedures of each cutter. ;SOLUTION: A controller 7 computes and stores a target position of each cutter K based on division width which is input and its number. When it receives a detection signal from a reference position sensor 12 while travelling to a travel limit of a movable body 4, it starts counting of pulses which are input from a pulse generator 11 every moment. Every time when it receives a detection signal from a sensor for scanning 13 which travels together with the movable body 4, it stores a counted value of a pulse at the time to detect a current position of each cutter K. The controller 7 selects travel procedures of each cutter K and stores them in a storage place of the travel procedures based on the target position which is stored and the current position to control a travel drive mechanism 5 and an engaging drive mechanism 6.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
