PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recognize the shape of a thin-plate shaped flexible object in a short time.;SOLUTION: A system recognizes an object shape 1 by comparing the shape of an object image data acquired by an image acquisition means with the shape of corrected three-dimensional model data. The three-dimensional model data is constituted of a plurality of nodal points 11 preset on the object, links 12 each having a predetermined length and connecting mutually neighboring nodal points, and sub-links 13 each having a predetermined length and extending from each nodal point toward an outer edge of the object with a predetermined angle to the link.
