PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable users to purchase and use even tickets whose users need to be certified as qualified, such as discount tickets or commuter passes for students, without having to go to windows where station attendants sell the tickets or commuter passes, thereby eliminating the need for the station attendants to issue discount tickets or commuter passes for students to the users at the windows, and thus reducing the amount of work required of the attendants.;SOLUTION: At the automatic ticket gate, whether or not passage is permitted is determined based on a plurality of tickets inserted. When a combination of an incomplete discount ticket (or commuter pass for students) and an auxiliary ticket is inserted, the process of adding lacking information and printing lacking printed information to the incomplete discount ticket (or commuter pass for students) is performed to return the ticket as a complete discount ticket or commuter pass for students.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
