PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically define a highly effective feature function, and to create a highly accurate stochastic model. PSOLUTION: The stochastic model creating device that creates a stochastic model by a maximum entropy method using learning data accumulated beforehand and a feature function comprises a conversion means that converts the learning data to data having two output values; a model creating means that carries out learning by a support vector machine, using the learning data converted to the data having two output values, acquires support vectors obtained as a result of the learning and a weight corresponding to each support vector, and creates a model; an attribute-extracting means that creates combinations of attributes of the support vectors, adds weights of the combinations of the same attributes, and extracts the combinations of the attributes based on the added weights; and a feature function creating means that creates a feature function, based on the combinations of he attributes obtained by the attribute-extracting means.
