METHOD FOR KNITTING KNIT STITCH BY CIRCULAR KNITTING MACHINE AND STOCKINGS KNITTED BY THE METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To knit stockings in which three kinds of knitting textures of flat stitch/high pile stitch/low pile stitch are distributed in an arbitrary pattern, a thin part and a thick part of knitted fabric are formed in each part of cuff parts, leg parts, instep parts, heel parts, sole parts and toe parts of stockings by a circular knitting machine and which have excellent sense of wearing and cushion effect.;SOLUTION: Both high and low pile sinkers 20L and 20S and a stationary sinker 40 that is positioned between both the pile sinkers and prevents adhesion of both the sinkers are inserted into one sinker channel 101. When a pile yarn 50 and a ground yarn 55 are drawn in by a knitting needle 10 and the high pile sinker 20L acts, the pile yarn 50 rides on its high pile nail 27L to form a high pile. When only the low pile sinker 20S acts, the pile yarn 50 rides on its low pile nail 27S to form a low pipe. When both the high and low pile sinkers are not advanced, th pile yarn 50 rides on neither the high pile nail 27L nor the low pile nail 27S, the pile yarn and the ground yarn 55 ride on a small nail 28 located at a position lower than both the pile nails 27L and 27S to form a flat stitch.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
