PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display driver capable of inputting command data even for a general-purpose controller, to provide an electro-optical device having the display driver and to provide a control method of the display driver.;SOLUTION: The display driver comprises a data input terminal which inputs the input data produced by time-division multiplexing of display data and the command data in one horizontal scanning term, a command discriminating signal input terminal which inputs a command discriminating signal for discriminating the command data, a latch which fetches the command data specified on the basis of the command discriminating signal from the input data, a decoder which decodes the command data fetched to the latch and a control section which outputs a control signal in accordance with the decoded result of the decoder.
