PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a step-up DC-DC converter that can detect the opening or short-circuit of a circuit, notify a fault to a control device to stop operation, and secure safety.;SOLUTION: This power supply is constituted of a limit detection circuit 106 that has a protective function against an overload, a control circuit 107, a detector 108, and a fault detection circuit 109. When the limit detection circuit 106 detects a limit and when the detector 108 detects the GND level of a feedback, an output line is open or short-circuited so that the fault detection circuit 109 notifies the fault to the control device to stop the step-up DC-DC converter. When the limit detection circuit 106 detects a limit and when the detector 108 is not detecting the GND level, an Nch-MOSFET of a leading-in control circuit 107 is turned on. When the detector 108 detects the GND level, the feedback line is opened so that the step-up DC-DC converter 1 is stopped.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
