PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smelting facility with which a series of operations in steps for smelting molten cast iron for a ductile casting from a raw molten metal stored in a holding furnace are performed by very few operators, when manufacturing a ductile casting.;SOLUTION: The smelting facility has the holding furnace 1 for storing the raw molten metal, a ladle 7 for receiving the raw molten metal, a graphite-spheroidizing device 8 for adding a graphite spheroidizing agent into the ladle, and a slag treatment device 11 for discharging slag from the ladle, wherein among the holding furnace, the graphite-spheroidizing device and the slag treatment device, a transporting carriage 4 having a ladle-transferring means 5, which runs by itself with the mounted ladle and transfers the mounted ladle on the device, and the ladle-carrying means 2, 3, 9, 10 and 14 for reciprocating the ladle between the transporting carriage 4 and the above described furnace 1, device 8 and device 11, and transferring the ladle to the transporting carriage are installed; and the ladle is transported from the holding furnace to the graphite-spheroidizing device and the slag treatment device 11 by the transporting carriage and the ladle-transporting means without being lifted.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
