PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video browsing method by which a user can quickly understand the details of a video image including its motion. SOLUTION: A video image is divided into scenes, one representative image is extracted from the respective scenes, the extracted representative images are listed as icons, and a user detects a noted icon and when the noted icon is detected, the video image belonging to the scene indicated by the noted icon is displayed as a moving picture. Since only the icons noted by the user are displayed as moving pictures, the user can confirm the video image by the moving picture icon while displaying many scenes on one screen so as to solve various problems in a conventional technology such that movement of view point is complicated and deteriorated efficiency of the confirmation due to increase in scrolling operations or the like thereby making the work efficient.
