PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a denitrification method and a device therefor capable of obtaining denitrification performance at a relatively lower temp. region comparable to the conventional case at high temp. ;SOLUTION: This denitration device consists of a nitric acid aqueous solution 1, a pump 2, a reactor 3 provided with a nitric acid decomposition catalyst 4, transfer gas 5 for transferring decomposition gas, an NH3 injection device 8, and a denitrification reactor 10. A nitric acid aqueous solution 1 fed to the reactor 3 with the pump 2 is decomposed to NO2 on the nitric acid decomposition catalyst 4 in the reactor 3 and the NO2 is jetted into the waste gas.
