PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high strength polybutylene terephthalate-based fiber having high tensile strength, excellent energy absorption power, and excellent dimensional stability, and capable of being preferably used for industrial materials, such as a seat belt, a rope, and a rubber-reinforcing fiber.;SOLUTION: This high strength polybutylene terephthalate-based fiber comprises a multifilament fiber made of a highly polymerized polybutylene terephthalate-based polymer in which 95-100 mol% of its repeating units comprises butylene terephthalate units, wherein the fiber has a tensile strength of 5.8-7.1 g/d and an elongation at break of 18.0-35.0%.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
