PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cultivating paddy rice by which paddy rice is inhibited from absorbing cadmium within an ordinary cultivation management, and also the paddy rice is prevented from falling down. PSOLUTION: The method for cultivating paddy rice comprises application of 40-240 kg of CaCNSB2/SB-containing substance as CaCNSB2/SB, 100-400 kg of SiOSB2/SB-containing substance as SiOSB2/SB, 100-400 kg of CaO-containing substance as CaO, 40-180 kg of MgO-containing substance as MgO per 1ha during the time of year until paddy-rice transplant season after the harvesting season in Autumn.
