PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a self-sinking device which can sink by itself after floating on a liquid surface for a prescribed time and which has a simple structure and is easy to handle, by providing a liquid introducing part which has a through hole sealed with a water-soluble and/or liquid-disintegrable sealing material and a liquid holding part of which the inside is formed to be hollow and which has a deaerating port and communicates with the liquid introducing part. ;SOLUTION: A self-sinking device 1 has a liquid introducing part 3 and a liquid holding part 4 and the liquid introducing parts 3 is a tubular member and has a through hole 3a. The liquid introducing part 3 is made of steel and an opening part in one end of the through hole 3a is sealed with a water-soluble and/or liquid-disintegrable sealing material 2. The sealing material 2 is formed in the shape of a disk having an outside diameter in the same size as the bore of the through hole 3a, by consolidating copper sulfate. A bullet-shaped member 5 of the liquid holding part 4 has a through hole 5a and a deaerating port 5b communicating with the through hole 5a is formed to be small in the center of the head-shaped fore end of the bullet-shaped member 5. A cover member 6 is a disk-shaped member having an outside diameter in the same length as the outside diameter of the bullet-shaped member 5 and it is connected by an adhesive integrally with the end face of the bullet-shaped member 5 wherein the deaerating port 5b is not formed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
