PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for compensating a codec DC offset and a modem which adopts the system and method.;SOLUTION: In one example, the system is equipped with (1) a DC offset compensator which generates and sends a DC offset indication signal corresponding to a DC offset present along a transmission line to a reception-side codec and (2) a DC offset encoder which is connected to the DC offset compensator and receives the DC offset indication signal and applies a time-varying DC offset compensation signal based upon the DC offset indication signal to a user data symbol stream sent along the transmission line.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
