Light gun, target box, shooting box, and, of light gun shooting system

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a light beam gun wireless of and provide security of safety, smooth operation of game, versatility of game, and a new game. ;SOLUTION: A gun unit 7, a target unit 2, a display, and a personal computer are arranged movably and independently as boxes (units). The target unit 2 comprises a target side communication unit 54, a target 4, a light receiving unit 67 being connected optically with the target 4, and a score calculating unit 55 being connected electrically with the light receiving unit 67. The gun unit 7 receives a signal 8 transmitted from the target unit 2 and launches a light gun 34 only when the signal 8 is received. The light gun signal 34 has information indicating a gun number versatilely and the personal computer calculates the score based on that information. Content of the game is diversified by that information and useful for training of shooting. The target unit plays the role of the game promoter and since wiring of the light beam gun is not required, operation of game is smoothed furthermore.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
