PURPOSE: To provide a unit building designing method and a unit building CAD system capable of flexibly and quickly corresponding to a remarkable change in design as well. ;CONSTITUTION: A reference design system S20 collects the summay of the shapes and specifications of parts to be observed by a client S12, required functions, etc., up to the reference unit arrangement of a building and collects on irreducible minimum reference design information W22 expressing the building corresponding to an order by making arrangement with the builder and a production preparing system S30 designs details (the structure and parts constitution of parts not to be observed by the builder, etc.) corresponding to the information W22 and collects drawings and information necessary for production in a plant S17 as production design information W31, so that reference design is simplified and design repeating load corresponding builder's requests can be reduced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
