PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of separating an antibody from an egg yolk by removing a great part of lipid and casein materials present in an ordinary egg yolk.;SOLUTION: The method of selectively separating an antibody isoform from the egg yolk comprises the steps of (a) removing nonwater bio-molecules and egg yolk granules from a female poultry so as to remove a water-miscible fraction having an egg yolk antibody, (b) passing the water-miscible fraction through a solid phase containing an effective amount of a waterinsoluble non- charged absorbent which is capable of absorbing a water-miscible lipid material that is ordinarily present in the egg yolk, (c) collecting for use as a refraction a solution which filtrates through the solid phase,(d) recovering the egg yolk from a flowing solution in the step (c).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
