PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically detect the switching of a dual network management system upon a system failure.;SOLUTION: A monitoring program control part 12 of a client terminal 1 specifies a representative IP address to access the dual network management system 2, and acquires a monitoring program from a monitoring response part 211 to start the monitoring program. The monitoring program specifies the representative IP address to periodically access the monitoring response part 211, and stores an actual IP address of an operating system 21 included in response information. At a system failure in the operating system 21, when a standby system 22 replaces the operating system to change the actual IP address included in the response information to an IP address of the standby system 22, the monitoring program displays the operating system switching in the dual network management system 2 on a screen display part 11 to notify it to an operator.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
